Off to bed ....

.... have an early start tomorrow - as I am off to the Hobby Craft show tomorrow with my Crafty Buddies Nic, Rhi and Lisa. Yay!!!! I'm a bit worried about the change in the clocks - and I'm getting a bit confused ( it doesn't take much believe me) about what time to get up ...... :/

The only down side is that the person that makes us a quintet - Tracey - wont be there, as she is really quite ill. We miss you Teagan.xx

When I met up with N a few weeks ago, she let me cut out a few Cross Cuts front door's (#1 Red) out. When I got home and had a play I really fell in love with it, I had - you know that feeling fellow crafters - just had to have one. So low and behold I am now the chuffed to bits owner of Cross Cuts Front Door (#2 Black).

Daring Card Makers - Dare 2.

Daring Card Makers have posted their second dare ........ 'Use the Kitchen', and the girls have come up with some totally unique cards using various kitcheny bits and pieces.

I have used a Cheerio box, tin foil and some string and this is what I have come up with.

Free Image Hosting at www.picturetrail.com

I use my Alcohol inks to colour the tin foil, which gave a great affect (will use this again on a card), cut out flowers from Cheerio box, then covered with the tin foil. I didn't want the tin foil to be smooth so just moved the foil while the glue was still wet - you can get a hammered metal affect. Coloured the string and used it for the flower stems and on the buttons in the flower centers. I used small bits of the left over foil on the die cut letters.

I wont tell my Gran that the card was made with old bits from the kitchen though ..... :-D.

Birthday Pressie.

I wasn't sure what to get SiL for her birthday, I'm hopless picking gifts.
I had a pic of my DS & BiL, that I really love and thought I'd get it framed, but then decided I'd put it on a canvas - I really enjoyed doing Michelle's class at LCC CC. This is what I came up with ....... her favourite two guy's ..... hope she likes it.x

It is my SiL's 30th birthday this weekend and my lovely BiL is suprising her with a trip to The Big Apple. He asked me to make a card with this in mind. So this is what I have come up with - thanks to my friend Nic for a loan of her BossKuts apple die. Also thanks to Tina Sue from the LCC Design Team for the inspiration for this card - from the book on her LO for the CC Class last weekend.

Yaaay!!!!!!! The wood is here ..........

....... at last.
I am getting a studio made in the back of my garage, it has been in the pipeline for sooooo long, I had almost given up hope of ever getting out of my tiny spare room. Came home from work tonight and there it was ..... yay!!!!!!

Now just have to sweet talk BiL to do the work ....... yay!!!!!

Can you tell I'm excited .......... yay!!!!!

Free Image Hosting at www.picturetrail.com Free Image Hosting at www.picturetrail.com

Contain your excitment - here's a couple of pix of some of my wood ........ I've been out to check a couple of time - and yes it is really here ....... yay!!!!

What do you prefer?
Sweets, Chocolate, Crisps?

I am a crisps person and DH brought home a new Walkers crisp tonight - oh my they are scrummy. Sensations, Cream Cheese & Cracked Black Pepper Corn Chips with Poppy Seeds. So between us we ate the whole pack while curled up on the sofa watching TV ........ this girls was in heaven. Crisps - TV - & Cuddles, ahhhhhh!!!

Melted Cheese on Toast.

As some of my friends know I have been going through a bit of an emotional melt down the past couple of months - nothing in particular, maybe just a change in season, who knows.

I haven't really being saying much about it to DH as he is really busy getting ready for a big show at work and I didn't want to add to his plate, but the other night he asked me what was up and I told him that it was nothing in particular I was just feeling a bit down.

This morning I've gone into the fridge to get something for my breaky/lunch and there smack in the middle of the kinda bare fridge is this chunck of cheese ..... well being a bit of a soppy gal I had a wee blub.

One of my most fav things to eat is melted cheese on toast ...... I could eat it all day - every day, but alas my killjoy hubby will only buy 1 block of cheese a week ...... 'too much cheese is not good for you'. So it only lasts the weekend, sometimes there is some left for a Monday.

Some days I could gladly strangle my DH, but today I would like it publicly known that I love my hubby.

I'll probably want to strangle him again tomorrow, but not today.x

Challenge 2

Free Image Hosting at www.picturetrail.com

Thursday, October 12, 2006

Not long now .......

.....until the CC starts at LCC - I'm so excited.
Second challenge has been set - you have to use as many laft over rub-ons and alpha stickers on a LO. Will do that later and post the end results.

My CC Kit and photos are not here yet, which I'm a bit hacked off about, want to stroke some stash and make sure the pix are gonna be ok for my LO's.
HooHum!!! Just have to be patient.

I broke my beloved Sidekick ....... Booooo!!!!! I got my goosebumps die stuck in it and couldn't get it out. I took it with me to my crafty meet with N & R and between us we managed to set it free. R has given me some pointers for when I call Ellison to ask for a replacement. Gulp!!!!!, hope I don't freeze.
