Your in the Frame

Sorry I'm late with my dare post this week.
I've got a bug which has kept me in bed the past few days. :(

Thanks for all the amazing work for Gill’s Op shop dare last Friday, and Tuesday’s Planes, Train’s & Automobiles Little Extra - we love seeing all the different takes on the dare’s that are set.

Of course we still have our fab Guest Designer Rachel with us this week.

So, on with the dare.

This week I’d like you to use a FRAME or FRAMES on your card.

You can use any type of frame you so wish.

How about a die cut frame or a hand cut frame.

You can frame your card with brackets or flowers or how about some doodling - the choice is yours.

Vrooooooooom-Vrooooooooooom

Hello Darers - ready for a Little of something Extra to keep you going until I set Friday's dare?

Firstly - have you heard the exciting news?
Fellow Daring Cardmaker, Kel has had a bouncing baby boy.

Congratulations Kel & Family, and welcome to baby Harrison..x

Cars, Boats, Trains & Planes is the theme for our Little Extra challenge this week.

A good chance to stock up on kids cards and make a few of those poor, unloved "cards for men", maybe? How about "congratulations on Passing yout Driving test" or "Got your Wings" for newly qualified pilots? - ok so we may be reaching a bit far with that one, but you never know!

Basically, what we'd like you to do is put some transport on your cards this week, how you do it is up to you!

Pink Petticoat.

I got some of the Pink Petticoat images from Dolly Nic yesterday, and couldn't wait to have a play with them. They are soooooo cute.

Feeling a bit Mojo-less so it has taken the whole day to make this one card, which is for a Bex Challenge. Spots, Stripes and Waves.

In a Word .....

Good AFTERNOON fellow crafters.

I'm a bit late with the my post today, as I have been off out with my good friend Dolly Nic. Drinking coffee and eating homemade flapjacks .... oh yummy.

I had a great time rumaging through Nic crafty stuff, and having a good old yack.

She is so organized, with loads of christmas toppers and bits done, and beautiful wedding samples.

Don't you just love being in someone elses craft space.

Sorry if you've been waiting for me to update, lets get on with the Dare.

This week we have Mrs Reids very first dare.

Hi Darers.

It's Rhi here, happily married and ready to get on with some crafting! We've loved seeing your Big and Little cards, and doesn't it feel good to have started those Christmas Cards!

This week I dare you to use a Word as the main focal point to your card.

It can be a name, a greeting or just a word that inspires you. You can use other text but only one word as a main embellishment.

So dig out your dictionaries, die cutters, alphabet stamps, rubons or download a funky font and show us what you can do!

Tickled Pink

BIG & Little - LE

Think I'm starting to get the feel of the Christmas card spirit after seeing all the amazing creations from Friday's team dare.

There's still loads of time left if you've not had a go yet, but if you have then how about something a little extra to keep you going until the next Dare.

Big & Little We'd like you to use items in pairs of Big and Little - so you need to have both sizes on your card ie big & little buttons, big & little die cuts, big & little hearts, big & little circles etc.

The theme of your card can be whatever you like this time, so that's nice of us, isn't it?

**SA Kit Papers**
**BIG & Little plain Jane Chipboard Flowers**
**PurpleOnion Stamp**
**CuttleBug Flourish Die & Squares Embossing Folder**
**American Craft Ribbon**

My Guys & Me - Coaster Book.

This is a mini Coaster book - made for a Bex challenge.
I have added journaling to the back of each coaster, and some doodling.
Well it wouldn't be me without some stitching or doodles ... :D.

Shhhhh ..... a peel off card .....

..... but it was Sue's fault, she made me do it - she made us all do it. I hope she's not trying to take over the crafty world with them ..... lol!!!

Tearing Purple Holes for Christmas

Another Friday already, the year is just zooming by don't ya think.

I'm having serious withdrawl symptoms this week, as we have been having internet problems ..... ISP's just didn't seem to get how serious it is for us crafters to be able to get online ANYTIME we want .... grrrrr!!!

This weekend will see another DCM wedding.

Wayne will be making an honest woman of Tracie - our very own Bondgirl.

Wishing you both the best for your wedding tomorrow, and your lives together are filled with lots of love and joy.

After my haircut this week - I was booking my next couple of appointments, when the hairdresser said two haircuts until Christmas ...... 8o hehehehehe!!

Which leads nicely to this weeks team dare.

We have the fabby Paula Pixie joining us as our latest Guest Designer.

Paula has been with the blog right from the start, and as it's coming up for the DCM first birthday, she is a perfect choice.

Well, the time has come for our first Christmas card dare of 2007.

But as loads of you have already shown some fab Christmas cards on your blogs, we thought we'd make things a little more Daring, interesting, tricky or downright mean - depending on your point of view!

So, we'd like you to make and show a Christmas card which incorporates the following:

Some Paper Tearing
The colour Purple
AND
It has to have at least one hole somewhere in the design!

......BUT by "hole" we don't just mean the sort of hole you poke a brad through, or the holes you make for/with stitching - or even the hole you make to put an eyelet in - although you can use all those techniques too if you want.

We want you to be a bit/lot more inventive and creative than that, and we think you'll be able to come up with some wonderful ideas for making cards to fit this recipe.

**DCWV Card & Christmas Stack PP**
**CuttleBug Snowman Die**
**CuttleBug Frame Embossing Folder**

**DCWV Christmas Stack PP**
**Sizzlits Chrismas Crown Die**
This was also done for one of the new challenges over on Bex's Forum.

I'll leave you with this little gem from one of the Design Team ......

"if I put Baby Jesus on my card, will that be "Holey" enough?"

Mwahahahahahahahaha!!!!!! :D

Any idea who said it ..... ?
