Shamed into Blogging ...... ;)

I've been totally shamed by Rachel - so I ran out to my studio this morning and made my Dare card.

Keryn set this weeks dare over on Daring Card Makers, she said;

Your dare for this week is to create a card using any technique, any style, to welcome the birth of multiples. If you keep the card long enough there is bound to be someone you know having twins or more to send it to.

Bad Blogger ....... :(

I've been told off by Rachel, for being a naughty-naughty Blogger ....... I'm sorry :(.

I have been sooooooo busy with real life - I've not had a chance to play in my studio. So I've added a couple of Pix I took last weekend on my Girlie weekend in Edinburgh. It was great fun, and we are already making plans for the next one.

DCM - How Random.

Kel set this weeks dare over on Daring Card Makers

Firstly make a list of 10-20 crafty items you have in your stash, whether it be brads, ribbons, peel-off's, craft robo, dies, stamps, glittter, buttons, flowers, patterned papers, paint... You get the idea! Give them all a number or print them out a sheet and pop them in a hat all folded up.

Next, ask someone non-crafty to either pick 3-5 of your numbers or pieces of paper from your from your hat.

Finally, make a card using ONLY the items chosen. A card blank, some sort of sticky stuff and your basic craft tools are allowed If you want to make it really challenging, list plenty of items that you haven't used in a while, or thought you may never use again!

Clever eh!!!

J picked out my 4 items, which were;
Paper Pad (I have so many that I haven't even used. This one is Boho Chic by MM)
A template - (by Anna Griffin)
1 embellishment (only 1 ***Gulp***)
Ink

I did cheat a wee bit and used the sewing machine (don't tell Kel ;)), but I'm blaming that on Gillian - cos she has me addicted to the thing ;)

Out on a School Night.

Vagina Monologues
Last night I went to see Carole Smilie in the Vagina Monologues at the Dundee Rep Theatre. My Friend bought me tickets for my birthday. It was soooooo funny - we all had a blast. So if you want to see Carole Smilie in a very different light, I'd recommend it.

Super Hero - Dare.

My first dare as Guest Designer with the Daring Card Makers certainly had my little wheels working hard, thanks Jo.

Super)Heroes
he·ro (hîr'ō) n., pl. -roes
1.A person noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose;
2.A person noted for special achievement in a particular field

Jo said -
Hi all, Jo here to dare you this week :) and I would like to challenge you to make a hero themed card. It could be a card for the Hero in your life or a Superhero themed card.

Action Man was always the Hero in my house - my DS loved playing with him.

So initally this was the inspiration for my card, but as I started work on the card I began thinking about my Sister (who is just returning to 'civvy street') and my BiL who is about to prepare for his 4th tour of Iraq, and how proud I was of both of them. The commitment and the sacrifices they have both given up over the years. My Niece's first Christmas, Anniversaries and Birthday's.

So they are very much Hero's to us.
I love you guys and miss you soooooo much..... xxxx

Bitz & Bobz used;
I really didn't use very much for this card.
I scanned a combat jacket for the backing paper. Tags and buttons were all taken from the combat jacket. Net is from Persil washing powder - dyed black. Dymo. Sizzix die numbers. Purple Onion 'Happy Birthday' & Frame.

The Hangover, The Eclipse & The Dare .....

The Hangover.
This is a pic of me and Jack & Les - my two bestest buds. We got together on Friday night - we all had a great night, but we were all feeling the worse for wear on Saturday.

I was lucky I could spend the whole day in bed, cos I don't work at the weekends - but they do....... Mwahahahahaha!!!!!!!!

The Dare.
Tracie set this weeks dare over on Daring Card Makers, and she wants to take us out of our 'Comfort Zone'.

So this week I dare you to step outside your comfort zone and have a go at something new - be it something you have never tried, or something you havent done for ages.

So I decided to go for something new.

I'm teaching my class Iris Folding next week, so this dare came along at the right time. I did actually make a mistake of my first one ***blush***

Not very keen on this technique, but I'm sure the Class will love it.

The Eclipse.
Here are a couple of Pix I took of the Eclipse last night.
