What Does Your Birth Date Mean?

Your Birthdate: February 1

You are a natural born leader, even if those leadership talents haven't been developed yet.
You have the power and self confidence to succeed in life, and your power grows daily.
Besides power, you also have a great deal of creativity that enables you to innovate instead of fail.
You are a visionary, seeing the big picture instead of all of the trivial little details.

Your strength: Your supreme genius

Your weakness: Your inappropriate sensitivity

Your power color: Gold

Your power symbol: Star

Your power month: January

Love Blooms.

I went into the studio to make a card for Lythan's Dare - over on Daring Card Makers ...... but I kinda got distracted when I spotted Gillian's Blooms sitting on the shelf. So this card is inspired (but not up to the standard) by the wonderful Gillian - who has just joined the Daring Card Makers DT......... Congratulations Gillian, you know I love everything you do.

Bling & Beads.

At last Blogger is allowing me to post my pic's....... :/

This is my card for Lynda's dare over on Daring Card Makers last week ..... lol!!! Me being the cats tail .... again ..... oh well. I've used beads to dot the 'i's' on Millie, and the bling is on the ikkle hearts with the birth details on the back of the card. I like to use both sides of the card for birth's with the baby's weight and date of birth.

It's kinda a pain when the client knows the date and weight, but not sure of the spelling of the name ('ie' or 'y'). So I ask them to double check spelling, I'll get the rest of the card done and add the name last. Then when they eventually get back to you the baby has gained 3/4 oz in weight ....... 8' ...... you know who you are Mrs Mc ..... good job your my bestest pal or there would be trouble .... 8D

One Little Word.

I've subscribed to Ali Edwards AEzine. Every January Ali picks a word that she will focus on for the year.

Can you identify a single word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2007?

My word came to me right away, but when I read throught the posts on Ali's blog it changed many time, there are so many word that I could focus on - time, balance, health, but I always came back to this word -

CONFIDENCE

I lack confidence in many things in my life from relationships, my job and most of all my creations. I alway second guess things. So this year I am going to work on this.

The quote I used for this 8x8 DLO was from a book I spotted last week in Borders. I didn't even pick the book up, I really just like this title - so much so I snapped a pic of it while I was browsing. It is by Elizabeth Wilson and titled 'GODDESS - Be the woman you want to be'. So this is my first 8x8, and will go into my BOM, which was one of the things I wanted to start this year ......... yay!!! I also used my sewing machine on this LO, thanks to Gillian for her 'Handy Hints Email'

Paper is Cotton Candy by We R Memory Keepers and the anchors were in my pack of lovlies from Australia - thank you again Gillian. I stitched the 'C' onto a piece of card board, I then pulled all the card board away from the edges of the letter. There is a hidden tag behind the pic.

RAK - ATC

Here is a pic of my fabby ATC from Gillian in it's new home in my Studio. I was going to put it in a frame, but I want to be able to touch this work of art any time I feel like it, so decided against the frame.
